Pink drops new music video for Trustfall (2023)

Pink released a captivating new music video for the title track of her ninth studio album Trustfall.

The singer-songwriter's latest single, produced by Fred Again, explores the notions of letting go and shedding inhibitions.

The icon worked with director Georgia Hudson to create an entertaining fantasy video depicting a young actress searching for the same sense of release and confidence the song explores.

The video starts with footage of the main character balancing on the edge of a cliff as Pink's voice is heard asking, 'are you gonna fall?'

The scene changes to the same young woman walking through a house party to the voiceover, 'is someone supposed to catch you, or do you catch yourself?'

She then walks out of the party, puts on a white helmet, and drives off on a white motorcycle as Pink's voice is heard saying, 'there will be something worth falling for.'

As the music begins, Pink is shown standing on a rooftop overlooking the Los Angeles skyline at dusk, wearing a black dress and bright red sleeves.

As the camera moves in close, she sings, 'Picture a place where it all doesn't hurt, Where everything's safe, and it doesn't get worse, oh my, We see through bloodshot eyes.'

As Pink continues with the verse lyrics themed around escaping and moving on from difficult situations in life, she sings,'picture yourself somewhere else far away.'

Amid her soaring vocals, highly cinematic visuals cut to a shot of the main character driving her motorcycle amid a purple sunset along a beautiful coastline.

Pink accessorized her short platinum tresses with chunky piercings and thick jewelry as the camera cuts to close-up shots.

The mini-movie cuts between three different timelines with quick edits as couples are shown dancing back at the house party while Pink sings, 'Are we running out of time? Are we hiding from the light? Are we just too scared to fight for what we want tonight?'

The camera cuts to a shot of pink covering the main character's face with her hand before the chorus begins with the lyrics, 'Close your eyes and leave it all behind, Go where love is on our side, It's a trust fall, baby.'

As Pink is shown with her arms out and leaning back on the rooftop, the main character suddenly becomes weightless and magically floats away from her motorcycle.

Pink is shown in another location wearing a red leather jacket in a smoke-filled area under a bright street light.

As she walked to the pulsing rhythm of the beat, she was surrounded by a group of background dancers standing under helmets that emitted bright lights.

The character who floated off her motorcycle is transported to the original location and is shown walking around confused.

Realizing she has returned to the original party house, the main character walks back inside the party and begins to look around.

Pink and her background dancers begin to dance up a storm in the middle of the streets during the second chorus as the video reaches a high point in an impressive choreographed dance scene.

After the dance scene, Pink is shown falling off a building as the bridge lyrics are sung.

'What if we just fall?I'm not going without you. And you're not going alone.'

As she falls, she is shown floating above the water alongside the main character in a magical trance as they spin in circles.

The video ends with Pink speaking to the young girl.

'You're shit scared and your whole body is shaking,' Pink says as they both stand near the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean.

'Go in there and you just f**king do it. Just do it, whatever it is, and then boom – it's gone. The fear is gone,' she says.

The woman is connected to a guy at a house party. For Pink, during the process of creating this album, the hurdle was reassessing what matters most to her in life.

The singer opened up about the making of the record while on Good Morning America last year saying, 'I took time. I had time and I had a lot of really devastating things happen. My son and I got really sick with COVID. That sort of distilled down for me what actually matters.'

Pink is embarking on the largest tour of her career in 2023, called Summer Carnival.

The Lady Marmalade singer - who has become well-known for showcasing her toned physique while performing on stage - has continued to add more concert dates as tickets have been selling out.

The Raise Your Glass singer recently announced a second show at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on September 19, 2023.

The Grammy-Award winner will begin her North American dates with a July 24 performance in Toronto.

The tour will begin with a six-week European leg on June 7 comprised of 21 shows throughout the UK, France, Germany, Austria and Poland.

The mother-of-two will perform with opening acts Grouplove, DJ Kid Cut Up, and Brandi Carlile.

The Just Give Me a Reason hitmaker has also announced the release of her new album, also titled Trustfall, on February 17.
